Job description

As the manufacturing arm for our customers, Mack has built a worldwide reputation for injection molding, machining, design work, sheet metal fabrication and contract manufacturing. Essential Responsibilities:

Responsible for the purchases of raw materials, packaging, equipment, and supplies in accordance with Mack Molding guidelines and procedures relating to cost, quality, and delivery.

Review MRP and schedules to anticipate required materials, products, and supplies needed to meet production requirements.

Manage the supply base and establish strong business relationships with suppliers.

Manage Past Due reports, Shortage reports, and drive suppliers to meet Mack Molding's On Time Delivery initiatives.

Drive positive Purchase Price Variance to reduce cost and drive increased profitability in the company.

Maintain the Approved Supplier Listing in accordance with IATF guidelines and procedures.

Review all purchase orders to ensure price competitiveness, solicit alternative bids, if possible, and notify management of price increases.

Manage, supervise, train, coach, counsel, and discipline all Purchasing associates.

Work with Sales and Engineering and manufacturing personnel to provide quotations and samples as requested.

Maintain quarterly reports to track rebates or discounts from suppliers.

. Manage the recycling process of scrap material including grinding and blending for reuse or disposal.

Work with the management team and company personnel to ensure customer service and satisfaction.

Maintain IATF compliance through the use and understanding of Mack IATF policies and procedures.

Follow all safety rules and regulations and hold all employees accountable for safety.

Maintain Mack Molding's standard of housekeeping in all areas.

Perform all other duties necessitated by changing business conditions.

Responsible for maintaining Receiving Inspection Process


Job Qualifications/License/Education/Required Experience

A college degree or equivalent experience in Purchasing or Materials related activities

Strong computer experience with MRP systems, as well as the Microsoft Office suite.

Ability to communicate with management and all levels of the organization.

Ability to lead, supervise, direct, train, and evaluate staff.

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.


Ability to lift up to 30 pounds as required (when necessary)

Ability to bend, walk, and/or stand for prolonged periods of time
