Are you ready to take your purchasing and planning expertise to the next level? Adecco is hiring a detail-driven and proactive Purchasing Agent / Buyer for a DIRECT-HIRE opportunity (Day 1!) with a fast-growing manufacturer.

What You’ll Do

You’ll be at the center of operations, connecting suppliers, production, and finance to keep everything running smoothly.

  • Plan and procure materials to support Just-In-Time (JIT) manufacturing

  • Manage purchase orders based on MRP and production needs

  • Partner with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams on builds and improvements

  • Maintain accurate data in ERP systems (pricing, units of measure, etc.)

  • Build and manage strong vendor relationships

  • Keep inventory lean while ensuring production never stops

  • Drive cost savings and supplier optimization initiatives

  • Track performance metrics (delivery, cost, inventory turns)

  • Support month-end financial processes with Finance/CFO

  • Ensure cost accuracy across systems (standard cost, last cost, rollups)

  • Maintain compliance with customer and regulatory standards

What You Bring
  • 3+ years in purchasing, planning, or procurement (manufacturing/electronics preferred)

  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (Epicor, SAP, Oracle, etc.)

  • Strong Excel skills for analysis and reporting

  • Understanding of cost structures and inventory valuation

  • Highly organized with strong problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and teamwork mindset

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Nice to Have
  • Experience in electrical, electromechanical, or wire harness manufacturing

  • APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP)

  • ISO 9001 / AS9100 experience

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, kanban, or VMI

  • Background in manufacturing cost accounting

Work Environment
  • Office-based with regular time on the production floor

  • Occasional supplier/vendor visits

  • Daily use of ERP, spreadsheets, and procurement tools
