Job Description Purchasing Agent Setting/Hours: 100% In-Office | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Join trak group in partnering with a growing client in Fairfield, Ohio that's expanding its Manufacturing team. Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to support procurement activities and ensure the timely acquisition of materials needed for manufacturing operations. This role works closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams to manage purchase orders, monitor deliveries, maintain accurate purchasing records, and support inventory and material control processes.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy, communication, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Create, issue, and maintain purchase orders in accordance with company procedures. Obtain supplier quotes, monitor pricing, and track delivery commitments.

Communicate with suppliers regarding orders, schedules, documentation, and order status. Verify invoices against purchase orders and receiving documentation to support accurate payment processing. Monitor open purchase orders and follow up on acknowledgements, shipments, and delivery schedules.

Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier information, and ERP system data. Coordinate procurement activities with internal departments to support production and project requirements. Review purchase requisitions for completeness and accuracy before processing.

Assist in resolving supplier issues related to deliveries, quality concerns, pricing discrepancies, and documentation. Support inventory management, material control, and receiving functions. Ensure purchasing activities comply with quality standards and documentation requirements.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency and supplier performance. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Accounting, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, accounting, or a related role.

Experience using ERP, MRP, or purchasing management systems is required. Manufacturing environment experience is preferred. Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality systems is a plus.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Ability to interpret purchasing documentation, supplier communications, and procurement requirements. Work Environment Split between office and manufacturing environments.

Exposure to industrial conditions, including machinery, noise, and temperature variations. Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required in designated production areas. Occasional travel to supplier or customer locations may be required.
