JOB SUMMARY: Performs complex administrative duties for the department director or upper-level manager, and other department personnel. Judgment is required in solving problems and making routine recommendations. Regularly interacts with high level contacts.

  • Performs a variety of departmentally specific projects and tasks, which require the use of independent judgment, initiative, and tact to determine the approach or action to take in non-routine situations.
  • Deals with matters of highest confidentiality.
  • Develops complex spreadsheets, graphs, presentation materials, statistical reports and other related documents that may require a high level of research, analysis and independent judgment.
  • Develops, composes and types routine and non-routine correspondence regularly.
  • Works with buyers and other supply chain staff to consolidate and provide accurate information in some communication with vendor base.
  • Works with receiving department to work resolution and communication of errors and tracking of the information as required to resolve.
  • Supports creation and management of metric data as required by the supply chain team.
  • Facilitates other supply chain administrative support for domestic facilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three to four years of progressive office experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write routine and non-routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to managers, customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and statistics.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Advanced skills with computer and peripheral equipment.
  • Advanced ability to use database, word processing, spreadsheet, graphing and other software as specific to the department.
  • Operates copy machine, fax machine, scanner, telephone, voice mail, and FedEx Powership.
  • Exercises above-average verbal and written communication skills, is highly organized, and pays great attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and maintain a high degree of responsibility and confidentiality at all times.

  • Some College
  • Experience in contract manufacturing
