Job description

Inventory Control Specialist Needed in Tulsa!

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to oversee all inventory operations within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring materials, components, and finished goods are accurately tracked, properly stored, and readily available to support production and delivery schedules. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining operational efficiency, reducing costs, and supporting on-time performance.

Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management & Accuracy
• Maintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation
• Develop and enforce inventory control procedures to minimize loss and discrepancies
• Oversee receiving, stocking, and material movement within the facility
• Ensure all inventory transactions are accurately recorded in ERP systems (receipts, transfers, adjustments, etc.)
Process Improvement & Optimization
• Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Implement best practices for material handling, storage, labeling, and traceability
• Collaborate with production and purchasing teams to streamline material flow
• Support initiatives to improve inventory turns and reduce carrying costs
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work with Purchasing to ensure timely material replenishment
• Partner with Production to support scheduling and material availability
• Coordinate with Quality on non-conforming materials and corrective actions
• Assist Finance with month-end and year-end inventory reporting

Qualifications
Required
• 5+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse, or materials management
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong proficiency with ERP systems and inventory software
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lead and work within a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications
