Job description

Position Summary: An Inventory Control Associate plays a critical role in managing and maintaining the inventory within a warehouse. The Inventory Control Associate will supply TCAHโ€™s purchasing manager with the relevant inventory information to enable informed, timely and strategic purchasing. He will monitor inventory levels, receive and distribute supplies. This position is a support-oriented position that reports to the Senior Manager of IT & Facilities. The ideal candidate should have an unwavering commitment to TCAH's hunger relief and food justice mission, and will be essential in ensuring effective program delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with management and warehouse teams to account for inventory across locations.
  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments; verify contents against purchase orders and report discrepancies or damage.
  • Maintain precise and uptodate inventory records, including quantities, item locations, and transaction histories.
  • Utilize inventory management software to track and adjust stock levels in real time.
  • Ensure all items are accurately labeled and stored in designated warehouse locations for efficient retrieval.
  • Conduct routine physical inventory counts and reconcile any variances with inventory records.
  • Prepare and submit weekly market lists to the Purchasing Department.
  • Generate and deliver monthly inventory variance and status reports, including spoilage, overages, and shortages.
  • Monitor stock levels and alert management when critical items are low.
  • Distribute inventory to TCAHโ€™s programs and stakeholders as needed.
  • Perform regular quality control checks; remove or dispose of expired or damaged goods in line with TCAH standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Manage returned or damaged goods per company procedures.
  • Identify and propose process improvements that enhance operational efficiency.
  • Be available for occasional travel and extended work hours during highvolume periods or emergencies.
