Job description

We are looking for a Purchasing/Inventory Manager. This position will report to the Plant Manager. You will
apply broad knowledge to ensure the integrity, quality, and accuracy of the facility’s inventory.

Job Description:
  • Purchase supplies/materials at the optimal price and delivery cycle while maintaining lowest inventory levels.
  • Oversee the day-to-day purchasing operations.
  • Implement purchasing and inventory control procedures to optimize cost-effective inventory.
  • Develop purchasing strategies to ensure we have just enough products in-house, without having excess inventory levels.
  • Ensure inventory values are in line with current/future opportunity needs.
  • Use data (market, price, delivery conditions, and trends) to determine present and future material availability and needs.
  • Oversee removal of surplus material or obsolete products, accurately recording inventory reductions.
  • Track scrap/repro in house and sent out.
  • Work side-by-side with warehouse personnel to minimize inventory discrepancies, as well as physical counts and cycle counts.
  • Complete monthly inventory report.
  • Communicate with vendors and approve and submit invoices to accounting to process payment within agreed upon terms.
  • Request, review and evaluate vendor quotes to provide the company with strategic savings.

Qualifications:
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience forecasting, scheduling, and negotiating.
  • Strong supplier and vendor relations.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to defuse issues using de-escalation and problem-solving techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and balance workload.
  • Advanced computer knowledge (word, excel).
  • Fluent English required; bilingual preferred.

Full-time, Monday - Friday, temp to hire. $23-26 hr to start.
