Job description

Alphanumeric is hiring a PRODUCTION CONTROL COORDINATOR to work in Orlando, FL with an environmental-friendly energy innovator focused on sustainability.  This is an initial contract role paying $20 per hour but if all goes well you could receive a full time direct hire.

This position will coordinate the production process to achieve an on-time project completion based on contractual requirements and operational lead-times:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Create work orders and schedule the releases of work orders to designated work centers.
  • Communicate with Shipping/Receiving on completed shop orders and release completed orders for packaging.
  • Generate installation orders in the system for shipment of completed orders.
  • Communicate with Order Management on completions that are on Sales Orders.
  • Sort and control materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined shop floor priorities.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and inventory control the expediting of late arriving purchased material that can affect scheduled product completion and subsequent deliveries.
  • Confer with production management to resolve problems affecting production schedules.
  • Completes all work orders in the shop floor control system.
  • Generates/submits materials requirements to Inventory Control.
  • Manage work in process (WIP) and assist with physical movement of product throughout the entire manufacturing process.
  • Advises the Production Control Supervisor and Production Planner of anticipated problems in-process  product.
  • Resolve all shop order discrepancies.
  • Insure off-shifts are properly supplied.
  • Perform other such duties as may be required.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures reporting all unsafe activities to Management and/or Human Resources.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Contribute to building a positive team spirit.
  • Communicate effectively with subordinates and management at all levels.
  • Protect confidential information by not communicating, disclosing to, or using for benefit of third parties;
  • Maintain the highest degree of honesty and integrity at all times.
  • Perform other such duties as may be required.
  • Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent and at least three (3) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Forklift operation and overhead crane operation certificates.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Computer Skills: Basic personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, and advanced database knowledge of MPR, ERP and BOM processes.
