You'll collaborate closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Planning, Inventory Control, and Supply Chain to help drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do
As a Purchasing Specialist II, you'll manage purchasing activities that ensure ENTEK has the right materials, at the right time, and at the best overall value. You'll build strong supplier partnerships while supporting cost savings, inventory management, and production success.


In this role, you will:

  • Purchase machinery, equipment, tooling, raw materials, production parts, and supplies to support manufacturing operationsย 
  • Review purchase requisitions, Bills of Materials (BOMs), engineering drawings, production schedules, and project requirementsย 
  • Create, issue, and maintain purchase orders and procurement documentationย 
  • Manage Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and evaluate supplier proposalsย 
  • Negotiate pricing, lead times, delivery schedules, and purchasing terms with suppliersย 
  • Coordinate transportation and delivery of purchased materials and equipmentย 
  • Monitor supplier performance for quality, delivery, responsiveness, and costย 
  • Resolve pricing, delivery, quality, and material discrepancies with suppliers and internal departmentsย 
  • Maintain purchasing records, supplier databases, pricing information, and procurement documentationย 
  • Provide timely updates on open purchase orders and material availability to internal customersย 
  • Support inventory planning and material availability initiativesย 
  • Generate fabrication work orders supporting internal manufacturing operationsย 
  • Identify and implement cost savings opportunities through sourcing improvements and supplier negotiationsย 
  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and value engineering initiativesย 
  • Support supplier qualification activities, audits, and supplier performance improvement programsย 
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Planning, Inventory Control, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to support production goalsย 
  • Maintain compliance with company purchasing procedures and safety policies

Requirements

We're seeking a highly organized, customer-focused purchasing professional with strong analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while building positive supplier relationships.


Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GEDย 
  • Three (3) or more years of purchasing, procurement, manufacturing support, supply chain, or related office experience preferredย 
  • Strong computer proficiency and experience working within ERP systemsย 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentย 
  • Strong organizational and time-management skillsย 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skillsย 
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracyย 
  • Ability to analyze information, solve problems, and make sound business decisionsย 
  • Ability to build collaborative working relationships across departments and with external suppliersย 
  • Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may be consideredย 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Manufacturing, or a related fieldย 
  • Experience in manufacturing purchasing or industrial procurementย 
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systemsย 
  • Experience reading engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs)ย 
  • Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experienceย 
  • Experience supporting supplier qualification, sourcing, or cost reduction initiativesย 

Your Work Schedule

This is a full-time, exempt position working Monday through Friday. This role is primarily office-based with frequent interaction throughout ENTEK's manufacturing facilities and regular collaboration with production teams, suppliers, and internal customers.
