Job description

Purpose To plan, buy and expedite delivery of requirements identified by the business system or department representatives while minimizing transactions, cost, and inventory. Responsibilities Create and enter Purchase Orders within cost estimate to be delivered on time. Maintain/expedite delivery schedules with suppliers, relay supplier delivery information to appropriate departments.

Raise RFQs and evaluate proposals to ensure most appropriate supplier is determined. Manage supplier scorecards to ensure supplier OTD and Quality meets requirements. Negotiates the lowest possible cost for the commodity balanced against the optimum quality and schedule needs.

Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal customers. Work as a member of the supply chain team on various projects. Physical Requirements Ability to stand or sit for extended period of time.

Fine motor skills with frequent hand and arm movement. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds. Moderate twisting and bending.

Moderate climbing on step stools or platforms.
