Position Overview:

The inventory specialist maintains, transfers, and coordinates all focus factory inventory. This position is

responsible for all inventory transactions both physically and transactionally within the ERP system while maintaining inventory accuracy and integrity. This role will work closely with purchasing, production, shipping/receiving, accounting, and quality teams as required to monitor transactions, investigate discrepancies, and optimize inventory processes.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receives, locates and transfers all inventory for stock and assembly locations.
  • Coordinates with purchasing, scheduling and quality to maintain inventory levels to ensure material is available for consistent production.
  • Maintain complete lot and batch traceability for all raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods.
  • Ensure materials are received, stored, and issued according to FIFO, FEFO, or company inventory control procedures.
  • Support Quality and Production during audits, recalls, investigations, or customer traceability requests.
  • Prioritize material movement to support changing production demands.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP system.
  • Process inventory transactions including (but not limited to) order receipts, material location transfers, inventory reconciliation transactions
  • Monitoring inventory availability to identify and communicate material shortages, inventory excess, and obsolete materials
  • Generate and Analyze inventory reports
  • Assist in developing and improving inventory control procedures and best practices while maintaining compliance with company policies and quality standards
Requirements:

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience and/or Training: 3+ years of inventory control experience using ERP or MRP systems in a manufacturing environment preferred. Strong understanding of inventory control principles, cycle counting, and warehouse operations including knowledge of lot control and material traceability processes.

Technology/Equipment:

  • Experience with ERP/MRP processes
  • Proficiency in excel (preferred)
  • Experience with Epicor ERP (preferred)
