JOB OVERVIEW

Responsible for the daily management and oversight of company items. This is a technical system role which requires daily interactions with Production, Material Planning, Accounting, and other areas and requires a strong ability to understand ERP transactions that affect items/inventory and production flow.

ROLE + RESPONSIBILITIES (includes but not limited to)

  • Set up and maintain purchased parts and raw materials, updating related documentation.
  • Train staff on item setup processes and criteria.
  • Support Inventory Control Manager in expediting customer orders and assisting with order entry as needed.
  • Collaborate with Inventory Control Manager to eliminate duplicate/old items and maintain item database.
  • Work with Inventory Control Manager to identify improvements for manufactured items.
  • Partner with Inventory Control Specialist to monitor item usage and slow-moving inventory.
  • Contribute to item and inventory process improvement projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5-7 years in inventory and item management within a manufacturing environment required.
  • Experience in a manufacturing ERP system required.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborative across departments, adept at learning and training others on system processes to enhance procedures.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management and accountability in a team setting.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

This position may require travel to other Robinson facilities.
