Inpatient OB Triage Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Per Diem
Adventist Health Medical Group – Hanford, CA

Adventist Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Inpatient OB Triage Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Women’s Health and Labor & Delivery team in Hanford, California. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, patient-centered hospital setting focused on high-quality maternal care and efficient obstetric triage services.

About the Role

This position is primarily hospital-based, with a focus on OB triage within Labor & Delivery. The NP will partner closely with OB/GYN physicians, laborists, and nursing staff to evaluate, triage, and manage obstetric patients, ensuring timely and appropriate care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide inpatient OB triage services for obstetric patients presenting to Labor & Delivery
  • Perform rapid assessments, medical screenings, and determine level of care or admission needs
  • Manage labor evaluations, obstetric complaints, and urgent pregnancy-related conditions
  • Collaborate with OB/GYN physicians on patient management and escalation of care
  • Facilitate admissions, transfers, and discharges from triage
  • Support Labor & Delivery and postpartum units as needed
  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care using evidence-based practices

Candidate Requirements
  • Master’s degree in Nursing (NP)
  • Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Active California NP license (or eligibility)
  • Experience in OB/GYN, Labor & Delivery, or Women’s Health preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment in a fast-paced inpatient environment
  • Bilingual skills (Spanish or Punjabi) are a plus, not required
