What You Will Be Doing:

As the CRS Rental Pump Specialist, you will act as an inside sales representative for the Cat Rental Store (CRS) with a focus on pump rentals and related solutions. This position handles customer transactions over the phone and in person, ensuring accurate quotes, contracts, and scheduling for pump deliveries and pickups. The Rental Pump Specialist plays a critical role in maximizing pump fleet utilization and ensuring customer satisfaction within the designated trade area. You will maintain accurate paperwork and databases, coordinate with drivers and technicians for timely deliveries, and provide customers with product knowledge and support to meet their pumping needs.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Ensure superior customer service by doing everything possible to meet customer needs.
  • Determine customers’ pumping requirements and recommend the best rental solutions for their applications.
  • Check pump availability with the shop and schedule maintenance to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Coordinate timely delivery and pickup of pump equipment to satisfy customer requirements.
  • Administers rental agreements, including rental out and in dates.
  • Process equipment returns by verifying operating hours, fuel levels, and overall condition.
  • Record daily logs of phone calls and customer interactions in the system.
  • Handle customer complaints professionally, offering solutions rather than excuses.
                Additional Responsibilities:
                • Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner.
                • Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.

                To be successful in this position, you should have prior experience in sales, preferably in equipment or pump rentals, with strong initiative and a competitive mindset.                 Education/Experience:
                • High school diploma or equivalent.
                Required Qualifications/Skills:
                • Proficiency with computer applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and basic internet tools for quoting and tracking pump rentals.
                • Ability to comprehend, speak, and write English clearly for customer communication and documentation.
                • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both in person and over the phone, with a focus on technical discussions related to pump applications.
                • Creative thinking and problem-solving ability to address customer needs and operational challenges.
                • Highly organized and able to work effectively in a fast-paced rental environment.
                • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record for occasional customer visits or equipment inspections.
                          Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
                          • Bachelor’s Degree from a four year college or university or related equivalent experience preferred
                          • Knowledge of Spanish language preferable but not required.
