Summary: The Painter (Industrial Pumps) is responsible for production painting of all standard product lines such as pumps, mixers and bypass feeders.

Education:

High School or equivalent education preferred

Experience:

  • 3 years of relevant painting experience; manufacturing paint line experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledgeable in painting tools, equipment, surface preparation, and layout procedures with minimal supervision.
  • Consistent record of maintaining the highest standards for both the quality and quantity of work performed.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work flexibly in a collaborative, fast-paced production environment.
  • Proficient in mixing paint and chemicals, with a solid grasp of formulas and viscometer usage.
  • Ability to safely perform repetitive tasks, stand for long periods, and lift heavy parts in an industrial setting.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate manual hand-held spray guns to apply paint to parts, ensuring an even, high-quality finish without runs, sags, or orange-peel textures.
  • Load and position items for painting, ensuring parts are properly prepared.
  • Accurately mix paints and chemicals following specific formulas. Use tools like a viscometer to measure thickness.
  • Inspect parts and raw materials for defects or non-conformance. Perform necessary reworks to meet company standards.
  • Inspect and maintain spray equipment and tools daily to ensure they are in safe, good operating condition.
  • Clean the spray booth and surrounding areas daily, properly disposing of used items like filters, cardboard, floor liners, and paint dust.
  • Adhere to all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) guidelines including proper handling, storage, and disposal of coating materials and chemicals.

Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality, and work overtime as needed to meet production goals. Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Arrangement : Onsite

Pay Range: $22.00 - $22.00 per hour 

Bonus Eligible: This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.
