CMP Pumping has been providing full-service concrete pumping services across the Southeast for 21 years. We have grown from a company serving only the Charlotte metro area to having projects, ranging from residential foundations, commercial high rises, DOT/civil, and major industrial work throughout the Southeast. Even though we have grown to become a large/industry leading concrete pumping company, we pride ourselves in providing an "open door" leadership model to each employee.
As a Concrete Pump Operator, CMP requires you to operate with the highest integrity and putting the company's core values first. You are expected to be punctual and presentable while working with CMP customers on daily basis. You can adapt to situations that occur in the field and be flexible working with customers and fellow operators.
Job Description:
  • Ability to drive and operate a concrete pump truck safely and conscientiously.
  • Perform daily pre-operational inspections for safety and preventive maintenance.
  • Operates the pump, monitoring the movement of concrete to locations where it is poured.
  • Duties include resolving issues related to the pouring & pumping of concrete, cleaning up after the job, and some minor repairs.
  • Evaluate site conditions and work with contractors to set up in a safe/efficient manner.
  • Submit job tickets, inspection forms, and hours to the supervisor daily.
  • Keep unit clean and maintained daily.
  • Expected to represent CMP Pumping in a positive manner and relate with customers in a professional, reasonable manner when working on job sites.

Skills:
  • Normal abilities in hearing, seeing, reading, writing and communicating with others.
  • Ability to set up a concrete pump correctly.
  • Ability to operate a 20-meter though a 40-meter concrete pump
  • Ability to operate a line pump.
  • Able to load and unload concrete pumps and attachments.
  • Ability to lift 150 pounds from a squat to an overhead position, and push & pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to trouble-shoot minor mechanical problems and able to keep the equipment clean and in good operating condition.
  • Perform basic concrete preventative maintenance according to CMP standards outlined (DVIR checklist).

  • Flexible schedule, occasional weekends
  • Class B driver's license
  • Meet DOT health requirements
  • Verified clean driving record
  • 21 years of age or older
  • Must have reliable transportation

Preferred Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of experience preferred
  • Ability to commute
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
