Summary:
The Customer Service Pump Applications Representative will select and specify pump equipment, prepare equipment proposals utilizing support tools, respond to customer inquiries regarding company pump related products and services, and process orders in DXP operating business system.
Responsibilities of the Customer Service Pump Applications Representative include, but are not limited to:
  • Selecting and specifying pump equipment
  • Preparing equipment proposals utilizing support tools
  • Responding to customer inquiries regarding company pump related products and services
  • Communicating with customers via phone and e-mail
  • Checking availability of stock and verifying ship dates
  • Processing orders in DXP operating business system
  • Providing follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures

Qualifications of the Customer Service Pump Applications Representative include, but are not limited to:
  • 3-5 years of experience with pumps and/or rotating equipment. Solid hands-on background in the operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of pumps or similar rotating machinery. Ability to interpret equipment specifications, understand system performance requirements, and provide technical guidance to customers. Familiarity with industry standards and safe work practices is strongly preferred.
  • Strong customer-service orientation and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Proficient with basic software and able to manage tasks accurately and efficiently
