Origination- Loan Consultant Overview

Mortgage Loan Product Selection, Rate Negotiation & Locking, Retention of Customer, this is often referred to as a sales role.

  • 12 -15 Week Class(Times are approximate based on testing, licensing, and other factors.)

Graduation is dependent on:

  • Passing the standardized SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act test.
  • Obtaining a minimum of 3 state licenses, which involves additional testing and background check clearance.

Company covers all licensing costs and provides training materials and study time. *$1500 Sign-on bonus will be awarded to employees who pass SAFE prior to hire date.

Candidates must live within 60 miles of the Pulte Mortgage Office in Englewood, Colorado, just south of Denver.

REQUIREMENTS FOR TRAINEE PROGRAM APPLICANTS:
  • At least 1 year of work experience in corporate office setting or other applicable experience such as an internship or a community/school leadership position.
  • Bilingual Spanish skills highly preferred.
  • Prior direct sales or customer service experience.
  • MS Office Suite proficiency
  • Ability to work with multiple computer screens and different platforms.
  • Previous experience in the financial and/or mortgage industries preferred.
  • Position requires the ability to secure and maintain NMLS licensing.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.

Salary Range: starting pay of $24.04 hourly. This position will also be eligible for monthly bonuses upon on the successful completion of the required training/licensing and based on defined performance objectives.

PLEASE NOTE: this position is a hybrid work arrangement - both in office and work from home.

SCHEDULE: Our core business hours are 7am -- 6pm MST. Schedules depend on the team/geographic area to which you are ultimately assigned, and specific schedules cannot be guaranteed and are subject to change. Overtime is a frequent requirement in these roles during busy times of the year. NOTE: During training -schedule will be 8am-5pm MST.

*** Candidates are hired into a LC Trainee role until they successfully complete the training curriculum and pass all required exams and/or secure licensing (if applicable). Upon successful completion of the requirements, the employee will move into a Loan Consultant role.
