POSITION OVERVIEW

The  Product Designer helps bring Licensed accessories to life! They assist other Designers and Category Managers with all aspects of Design and Development. This includes researching trends and product, concepting, building presentations and sample development. Their design support helps bring new and unique styles to market weekly.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ideate and interpret ideas into product concepts. Partner with design, sales, and licensing leads to define and bring concepts to life. Build on those ideas and develop finished product.
  • Keep an active pulse of the market. Support and assist with documenting categories in store. Understand trend cycles and product execution in key accounts and the competition. 
  • Keep pulse of consumer comments, surfacing relevant design ideas and solutions. 
  • Leverage design tools for trend research (WGSN, Edited, blogs, social media) 
  • Manage product and sampling process through the PLM system (product lifecycle management) 
  • Review all product samples with Designers. Comment to vendors, updating specs and instructions as needed to meet final product expectations. 
  • Generate product development instructions (tech packs) for our manufacturing partners to create quality samples that meet our cost targets. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education and/or experience in graphic and product design and experience in Bags Designs
  • Customer centric design eye and high-quality aesthetic
  • Design and product development experience in accessories and/or apparel
  • A passion for fan culture and pop culture product
  • Self-starter: motivated, proactive, solution oriented. An entrepreneur!
  • Relationship builder and collaborative
  • Experience in: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, & In Design. When given a task to concept an idea the candidate can do so with minimal instruction on the software.
  • Versatile in MAC and Microsoft products.

EDUCATION 

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fashion/Industrial Design

BUSINESS HOURS 

We have a Work from Home flexible schedule. We work 4 days in office and 1 from home. Schedules can vary based on deadlines and projects.
