Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Business Development Manager to lead and grow our Competitive Pulverizer aftermarket business across the U.S. This role combines strategic sales support with hands-on technical engagement, focusing on utility, pulp & paper, and other industrial markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for
identifying new business opportunities, strengthening new and existing customer relationships, collaborate and communicate with field Sales team to set account target objectives, conduct joint visits, and report out status opposite collective objectives, Additionally, this candidate will be responsible for facilitating internal training, and delivering solutions that enhance the competitive position of our aftermarket Pulverizer parts and field service offerings.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans for Competitive Pulverizer aftermarket products.
  • Identify and cultivate new customer relationships and target locations to expand market presence.
  • Conduct on-site evaluations of Pulverizer systems (specifically competitor equipment) to assess performance and identify upgrade opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal proposal managers to develop quotes and engineered solutions based on customer specifications.
  • Perform equipment sizing, layout design, and process flow diagram development for proposal support.
  • Provide technical consultation and troubleshooting support to mill customers, including service reports, and mill evaluations.
  • Coordinate with product development teams and suppliers to design innovative solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • Support reverse engineering efforts and facilitate customer visits in our Copley, OH facility.
  • Participate in product design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Travel +20% for site visits and customer support, with remote work flexibility.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 10-15 years of experience in technical field sales or engineering within utility, pulp & paper, or industrial sectors.
  • Strong technical background in OEM utility Pulverizer mill equipment.
  • Proven ability to work independently with discipline, resilience, and a strong work ethic.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments and meet deadlines.
