Job description

Registered Respiratory Therapist 

Location: Grants, New Mexico

Pay Rate: $105,000/Year

Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time

Schedule: Varied Shifts

Experience: Less than 1 year required

About the Role

We are seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide comprehensive respiratory care for patients across critical care, medical floors, the Emergency Department, Pulmonary Function Lab, Radiology, and patient transport services. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality respiratory treatments while collaborating with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Responsibilities

  • Administer respiratory therapy treatments, oxygen therapy, nebulizers, ventilator management, and airway support.

  • Perform pulmonary function testing, arterial blood gas collection, EKGs, stress testing, and other diagnostic procedures.

  • Monitor patient respiratory status, evaluate treatment effectiveness, and communicate findings with the healthcare team.

  • Participate in emergency response, Code Blue events, patient transports, and critical care support.

  • Maintain accurate documentation, patient education, equipment maintenance, and infection control standards.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy from an AMA-approved program.

  • Current New Mexico Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license (upon acceptance).

  • Current BLS certification and RRT credential required.

  • Strong knowledge of respiratory care principles, ventilator management, and critical care practices.

  • Excellent communication, clinical decision-making, and teamwork skills.
