Your Opportunity
Stantec is seeking a BIM Technician in US West to play a key role in the delivery of BIM and CAD project documentation. You will work closely with Other BIM Technicians, project managers, engineers, and other disciplines to develop coordinated models and drawings, support ACC/BIM 360 workflows, and help ensure projects are delivered efficiently and in compliance with established standards.
Your Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, maintain, and update Revit models and CAD drawings in accordance with project requirements and company standards.
  • Manage and support project workflows within ACC/BIM 360, including model hosting, publishing, and coordination.
  • Produce accurate 2D documentation and coordinated 3D models.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other disciplines to support integrated project delivery, including clash detection and model coordination.
  • Convert markups/redlines into high-quality, document ready deliverables.
  • Manage drawing production, sheet setup, and revisions throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with company, client, and project BIM/CAD standards.
  • Provide day-to-day technical support for AutoCAD and Revit users.
  • Assist with model content, updates, and family management as needed.
  • Work across multiple projects, managing priorities and communicating proactively to meet deadlines.
  • Operate effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Your Capabilities and Credentials
• Strong working knowledge of current versions of AutoCAD and Revit, with the ability to produce and manage coordinated 2D and 3D design documentation.
• Understanding of BIM principles, workflows, and model coordination practices.
• High attention to detail with a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and compliance with company and client standards.
• Ability to interpret design markups and translate them into accurate, high-quality deliverables.
• Experience working in ACC/BIM 360 environments, including model collaboration, publishing, and coordination workflows, is pref2erred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
• Proficient in developing and maintaining AutoCAD and Revit models, including project setup, views, sheets, and content/family management
• Experience with clash detection in Revit. Clash detection skills with Navisworks are preferred.
• Client-centric, can-do approach to project work and assignments.
• Ability to multi-task and synthesize multiple data points and instructions to timely produce accurate deliverables.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Must have valid driver's license and clean MVR
Education and Experience
• Certificate from technical college and at least 2 years of relevant experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Related experience in the engineering/contractor industry.
• Familiarity with mechanical, plumbing, medical gases, electrical, lighting, and technology design within the built environment is preferred.
Stantec offers a hybrid home/office work environment, and expects team members in the office at least 2-3 days a week or more for all-staff meetings, project-related team work sessions, client meetings, and employee engagement functions etc.

Pay Range:
• Locations in CO, HI, IL, MD & Various CA, NJ Areas-$62,900.00 - $88,100.00 Annually
• Locations in WA, DC & Various CA, MA areas-$67,500.00 - $94,500.00 Annually
• Locations in NYC & CA (Bay Area) & NJ (RP)-$72,100.00 - $100,900.00 Annually
Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
Benefits Summary: Regular full-time and part-time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave.
