Role Summary

T. Rowe Price is seeking a skilled and motivated Project Manager to join the Chief Data Office and support our data program. As a Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in planning, executing, and monitoring data initiatives, ensuring their successful completion within scope, budget, and timeline. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to drive the implementation of data-driven solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute project plans, including defining project charter, scope, objectives, deliverables, dependencies, and resource requirements.
  • Define success criteria and metrics, in alignment with the Chief Data Office objectives and key results.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and proactively implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project completion.
  • Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders, team members, and senior management to ensure alignment and timely decision-making.
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and presentations to gather requirements, provide updates, and seek feedback from stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data strategy initiatives into existing processes and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and privacy regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
  • Continually update relevant business stakeholders of project status and periodically publish project status reports.
  • Ensure all projects meet success parameters and business objectives stated in the business case / charter.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Management, or Business Administration (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven 2+ years of related experience as a Project Manager, preferably in data strategy or related programs.
  • Strong understanding of data management principles, data governance, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Solid knowledge of agile project management methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive projects to successful completion.
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills to identify and address project risks and issues.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Jira.

Preferred:

  • Project management certification (PMP or equivalent) is highly desired
