Job Description Everforth ECS is seeking a Drafter / CAD Operator to work onsite at the USPS Maintenance and Technical Support Service Center (MTSC) in Norman, OK. This role prepares complete sets of complex drawings or computer models that include multiple views, detail drawings, assembly drawings, and bill of materials. This is done utilizing various engineering and OEM sources to research, develop, publish, and maintain Technical Documentation and digital libraires containing parts information, Technical Data Packages (TDP's), machinery configuration information, and component-level configuration information for Industrial/Commercial Mail Processing Equipment. Job Responsibilities * Utilize engineering and OEM source documentation to research, develop, publish, and maintain Technical Documentation * Conduct desktop / online, or on-location verification and on-equipment validation tasks with little to no support from Subject Matter Expert(s). * Prepare complete sets of complex drawings or computer models that include multiple views, detail drawings, and assembly drawings. Drawings or models include complex design features that require considerable drafting skill to visualize, document, and portray electromechanical equipment. * Work from sketches, computer models, and verbal information supplied by an engineer or Subject Matter Expert(s) to determine the most appropriate views, detail drawings, and supplementary information needed to complete assignments. * Work with a small team to research, develop, publish, and maintain Technical Documentation while adhering to prescribed schedules and budgets accordingly. * Travel within the United States approximately 10% of the time to support or perform documentation related tasks and technical information collection. Note: This position requires working onsite at the USPS customer site in Norman, OK. Starting pay rate: $18-22 / hr. Required Skills * Requiring little to no supervision, performs all Drafter II job description duties. * Must be able to obtain Public Trust Clearance. * Associates or higher-level degree preferred. Will consider a combination of education, technical / military training, professional certifications, and work experience. * Familiar with System Engineering or Engineering Lifecycle Management * Working knowledge of technical and/or engineering documentation development to include having a baseline level of drafting proficiency or ability to apply drafting requirements based on a set of guidelines. * Possess general working level knowledge of industrial equipment systems. * Able to work on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations. * Ability to complete research for engineering drawing change requests. * Ability to create change documentation records for engineering drawing change requests. * Strong attention to detail, with the ability to proof work for accuracy. * Excellent problem-solving skills: define/understand the problem, identify constraints, work towards the best possible solution. * Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. * Ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings. * 1-2 years work experience in mechanical drafting. Note: To be considered candidates must be able to obtain a USPS Public Trust background clearance. This requires US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status (Green Card), and the ability to pass an in-depth background check.
