Associate / Assistant Professor of Organizational Behavior/HRM or Strategic Management

Job Summary:

The Rucks Department of Management invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Associate / Assistant Professor rank in either Organizational Behavior/Human Resource Management or Strategic Management to begin in Fall 2027. Associate Professors and senior Assistant Professors with a strong research record are particularly encouraged to apply. Junior candidates must show strong promise for the development of a solid research agenda. This position requires the Assistant/Associate Professor teach management courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels as well as to conduct research and publish in top management journals or those in closely related fields.

Job Responsibilities:
  • 45% - Teach undergraduate- and graduate-level courses primarily in the area of focus (either Organizational Behavior/Human Resource Management or Strategic Management). Normal teaching load is two courses per semester, i.e., four courses per academic year.
  • 45% - Engage in academic research and publishing.
  • 10% - Undertake assignments normally associated with teaching, scholarship, and university service.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Management or related field. For Assistant Professor level, ABD candidates will be considered.
  • Years of Experience: Assistant Professor: 0-5 years; Associate Professor: 6+ years
  • Specific Experience: Primary focus area in organizational behavior/human resource management or strategic management. Demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching or demonstrated potential for excellence.
