SEASONAL PUBLIC WORKS MAINTENANCE WORKER- Extra Help Position
Part-Time Variable Hours Weekdays and Occasional Weekends (20 -25 hours/week) Apply immediately

Part-Time Seasonal Worker needed to assist utility field operations within the Public Works Department. Position will be assigned to work in the Streets Division, depending on the needs of the Department, maintenance may include but not limited to the following:
  • Weed and brush abatement.
  • Minor painting of facilities, piping/appurtenances and hydrants.
  • Manual labor activities; digging and lifting of heavy objects.
  • Creek and debris clean-up
Must possess mobility to work in the field; strength, stamina, and mobility to perform medium to heavy physical work, to work around machines, to climb and descend ladders, to operate varied hand and power tools and to operate a motor vehicle. Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform work. Must also possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing between 25 - 50 pounds. Safely work with team to lift and maneuver items weighing up to 100 pounds.
The position will require a physical and drug screening test upon offer of employment. A background and fingerprint check will be completed before date of hire. A valid California Driver's License is required. A California DMV printout showing driving record is required before date of hire and driving record must meet Town of Windsor driving standards.
