Job description

Heber City Corporation (the City of Heber) is seeking to hire seven (2) individuals for seasonal Public Works Department work. This is the kind of job that provides valuable experience in municipal infrastructure.Work is performed on-site and primarily outdoors in City Parks, the Cemetery, and Trails.Duties include maintaining safe, well-landscaped grassy areas and park equipment, operating outdoor garden tools such as mowers and weed trimmers, and cleaning public restrooms. Physical requirements include considerable bending, lifting, stooping, and twisting. Start time is promptly at 7:00 am, with a 30-minute lunch, and end time is primarily at 5:30 pm M-TH, plus occasional weekends and evenings.Applicants must possess a valid Driver's License, be able to learn safety practices, follow directions, and operate lawn tools and equipment. Upon offer of employment and acceptance, applicants must pass a pre-employment drug test.This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience in municipal infrastructure for a local government, while working with a supportive, fun team and getting paid!Heber City is a drug-free workplace. All candidates offered employment must successfully pass a drug test.
