  • This role is eligible for insurance. Those staff members who work in a position with 50% full-time equivalency but less than 75% full-time equivalency, will pay the pro rateย dollar increment for the cost of the employee's elected insurance plan associated with the full-time equivalency for their assignment.

Perform daily and scheduled housekeeping duties as required.ย  Sets up and shifts furniture and furnishings, washes walls and ceilings; dusts and polishes furniture; washes windows; strips, sprays, buffs, waxes and polishes floors; washes and cleans washrooms and disposes of garbage, trash etc.ย  Operates heating, lighting, ventilation and electrical controls as specified.ย  Provides assistance to students, teachers, public and other employees as assigned by the Head Custodian.ย  Maintains grounds including cutting grass with hand and power mowers, collecting litter, trimming bushes and small trees, raking grounds and performing snow removal as assigned.ย  Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

ย 

Ability to carry out verbal and written instructions and reporting procedures.ย Experience in building cleaning and minor maintenance.ย Able to create personable relations with co-workers, staff and public.ย Able to communicate clearly in English.ย  Able to lift up to 100lbs.ย  Willing to work overtime as needed.
