Job description

Amazon is seeking a highly-organized, self-motivated and high-judgment professional to join the team responsible for leading proactive consumer campaigns and cross-Amazon stories focused on seasonal shopping events. This role will function as the Project Manager, responsible for tracking, managing, and organizing the work flow in the U.S, with heavy global coordination, for Amazon's highest profile consumer-shopping events throughout the year. The ideal candidate is able to work autonomously as well as cross-functionally; have experience communicating across multiple teams and/or external agencies; a proven track record identifying efficiencies, reducing siloes, and facilitating cross-functional collaboration; is able to identify and track industry trends and coverage, circulating it with the appropriate stakeholders. This individual should be a self-starter, have an eye for details, and enjoy wrangling multiple people and projects. They'll display poise and sophistication in rapid-moving situations and become fast friends with a number of internal teams working on events at Amazon.
Key job responsibilities
• Wrangle more than 40 teams across Amazon, communicating event updates, reducing siloes, and facilitating cross-functional collaboration in support of seasonal retail shopping events, with a main focus on Prime Day and Back-to-School/Off-to-College.
• Develop workback timelines for key event tactics; establish a regular cadence of touchpoints to ensure teams are tracking against deadlines.
• Source inputs for external communication materials, including key messaging and deals, routing through internal channels to secure necessary approvals.
• Manage external PR agency on monitoring and reporting guidelines, coverage reports, and end-of campaign metrics.
• Identify key industry trends and announcements, drafting an analysis, and circulating with the appropriate stakeholders.
• Develop briefing documents for internal spokespeople at all levels for external-facing engagements.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
- Bachelor's degree
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience leading and collaborating with a large cross-functional team
- Can work proactively and independently, meet deadlines, and deliver on projects and tasks
- Experience working with global teams and diverse partners
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, or experience working with customers with a passion for delivering exceptional service
- Can manage a high volume of requests and competing deadlines
- Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
