About the Role

Steer is looking for an intern who will help support our Transportation Demand Management (TDM) team, working from home and in the Northern Colorado Region, along the US 34 corridor, from Kersey to Estes Park. The intern’s primary roles will be to support our GoNoCo34 Transportation Management Organization (TMO) project in Northern Colorado.

This internship will report directly to the Executive Director of the GoNoco34 TMO, managed by Steer. In addition, the intern will have the opportunity to support the Burbank TMO in Southern California and other transportation planning-related projects at Steer.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Representing the TMO at community events (online and/or in person).
  • Acting as a liaison with TMO members and stakeholders.
  • Designing email marketing and social media campaigns.
  • Website coordination (update members, upcoming events, flyer campaigns).
  • Capturing monthly board meeting minutes, facilitating recording both verbal and written for TMO board.
  • Supporting membership growth among local employers, developers, community non-profits and regional stakeholders.
  • Coordinating administrative activities such as bus pass orders, vanpool incentive programs and general office management.
  • Aiding with other projects, such as marketing design, mapping, report writing and data analysis, as needed.

Requirements

The successful candidate will be well organized and have a passion and interest in transportation and outreach as well as the ability to speak well, write well, interact easily with the public, support our administrative functions, and provide leadership on email communication and social media campaigns.

Work Life Balance

All Steer employees seeking a part-time opportunity are encouraged to spend 60% of their time in office. A part-time employee’s typical work week consists of up to 16 hours. Compensation

The hourly rate for this position is $22.50 per hour. [PG1.1][NV1.2]This is a non-exempt position and qualifies for over-time pay at 1.5Xs the hourly rate after having physically worked over 40 hours.

All compensation, regardless of location, may be subject to change as skills, abilities, internal equity, and geographic location are considered. Steer reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional compensation.
