Job description

Location: BRF-HEALTH
Department: Health
Summary:
POSITION OVERVIEW
This position is located in the Public Health Division of the Ho-Chunk Nation Health Department. Under the supervision of the Public Health Worker Supervisor, this position will provide individual and population health education, quality outreach, disease prevention initiatives, and health promotion services.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:
1. High School diploma or equivalent.
2. Preferred: Associate's degree in health sciences or other health-related degree.
ESSENTIAL:
1. Must have and maintain valid driver's license and auto insurance.
2. Must promote a health, non-abusive lifestyle.
3. Must attend and pass Indian Health Service CHR Basic Training within one (1) year of hire.
4. Must attend and pass Community Health Worker (CHW) training within one (1) year of hire.
5. Must attend and pass Family Spirit training within two (2) years of hire.
6. Possess Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or obtain within 90 days of hire.
EXPERIENCE:
1. At least two (2) years working with Tribal communities.
2. Preferred: Experience in health education and promotion.
