• Be a trusted member of the team providing various tax, accounting and advisory services to small business clients.
• Oversee and provide services pertaining to accounting, bookkeeping and prepared or compiled financials.
• Review and analyze accounting records and/or reporting with clients, provide analysis and consultation, and communicate with clients to discuss accounting and business matters.
• Deliver best-in-class customer service to clients with a focus on responsiveness, timeliness, professionalism, and accuracy.
• Lead and plan client engagements, and continuously evaluate processes within client services and implementation functions, emphasizing efficiency and internal control improvements.
• Provide recommendations for business and process improvements based on client operations, processes and objectives.
• Manage and build client relationships, address client issues, and assist team leaders with additional services.
• Delegate and oversee work, set goals, provide resources, remove obstacles, and schedule deadlines to meet client expectations.
• Maintain knowledge of local, state, and federal tax practices and laws.
• Assist with managing client engagement staffing, billings/collections, and ensure profitability targets are met.
• Network to build relationships internally and externally with clients and the community; invest in professional development through firm programs.
• Support the growth and development of team members through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy, helping associates meet professional goals.
• Promote work-life balance and team engagement through firm culture and activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; accounting preferred; master’s or advanced degree preferred.
• CPA, Law License, or Enrolled Agent required.
• Five (5)+ years of experience providing federal and state tax compliance, accounting and advisory services in a professional services firm.
• Two (2)+ years of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates.
• Demonstrated management, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, project management, and communication skills.
• Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, and stay current on applicable tax strategies; strong sense of ethics and commitment to quality.
• Highly developed software and Microsoft Suite skills.
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship preferred.

The pay rate ranges for this position are listed below. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including skills, prior experience, qualifications, degrees, professional certifications, work arrangements and geographic location. In Eugene, OR: $90,000 to $133,040. In Medford, OR: $90,000 to $133,040.
