Job description

Courier Express Seeking PT Warehouse Associate

$16/ hr

2:30am - 7:30am

Courier Express is looking for a PT Warehouse Associate/Dock Worker for our Columbia warehouse.

The purpose of the position is to coordinate, and participate in the sorting and loading of incoming product out to drivers. The right individual would be a self-starter and work well with limited supervision and always incorporate a sense of urgency in daily operations.

Primary job duties will be to serve as a point of contact in the warehouse in the event of any questions or issues. Be responsible for the coordinating and sorting of product received from the line haul each day. Document returns, miss-sorts, and unreceived product. Utilize various machinery such as forklifts and pallet jacks to organize product in the warehouse. Manually move, prep, and sort product, occasionally loading it onto freight trailers. Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, secure and safe at all times. Training will be provided.

Personal skills required may include having the ability to plan and carry out daily operations plan with limited supervision, proven ability to multitask, highly developed organizational skills, ability to interact with other employees at a variety of levels, ability to lift and carry at least 70lbs, ability to stand, twist, squat, and bend for long periods of time, consistently punctual, excellent communication skills, rapid response to issues, attention to detail, ability to communicate needs or issues.

Preferred computer skills are Microsoft Office/Excel. Forklift experience a plus.

Required to pass Drug Test, Background Check and 3 year Motor Vehicle Record check.
