SUMMARY:  The Public Transit Coordinator (PT Coordinator) is responsible for managing the functions of Public Transit transportation for members.   This position will oversee the systems in place to maximize PT for the operation, including setting up of transportation, resolving issues related to PT, marketing the programs and training of dispatch and routers on the programs. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for setting up transportation for members utilizing Public Transit (PT) for the operation.
  • Promoting PT Dispatch and Call Center Staff to maximize the programs.
  • Monitor, measure, and report on the usage of PT and provide to management. 
  • Answer phones and respond to customer requests. 
  • Provide information regarding PT routes when requested by members.
  • Provide members with product and service information.
  • Generate forms for tracking PT distribution to facilities and renewal of PT media fare inventory.
  • Recommend process improvements. 
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

 QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Above average computer skills using Microsoft Access, Excel and Word.
  • Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to be flexible with their schedule (could require weekends, evenings and holidays).
  • Ability to work independently or with a team.
  • Professional appearance, positive attitude.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION/TRAINING

  • High School Diploma.
