Gateway Psychotherapy Center is actively seeking a dedicated and qualified Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our compassionate team on a full-time basis. This position is designed for remote work, allowing for flexibility while maintaining full-time status. Despite the remote nature of the role, you will have regular access to our supportive team and valuable resources to facilitate your work. You will conduct your sessions via secure telehealth platforms, making it easier for clients from various backgrounds to engage in therapy from the comfort of their homes.

• Conduct comprehensive therapy sessions for individuals, couples, and families, utilizing a systemic approach to assess and address their multifaceted emotional and psychological concerns.
• Establish trusting and open relationships with clients, creating a safe environment where they can discuss their experiences, feelings, and relationship dynamics.
• Perform thorough assessments to identify core issues affecting clients, utilizing standardized assessment tools and clinical interviews.
• Based on assessments, develop tailored treatment plans that set clear goals and define effective intervention strategies. Regularly evaluate client progress and modify treatment approaches as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Provide psychoeducation to clients on topics such as healthy relationship dynamics, communication skills, and effective conflict resolution techniques.
• Facilitate crisis intervention as needed, supporting clients through challenging situations including domestic violence, substance abuse, and grief.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions, treatment progress notes, and compliance with legal and ethical standards set forth by regulatory bodies.
• Engage in continuous professional development through workshops, conferences, and peer collaboration to enhance your therapeutic skills and knowledge of best practices.

You will work with a diverse clientele that encompasses individuals, couples, and families from various backgrounds and cultural contexts. Your expertise in understanding family dynamics will be crucial in supporting clients dealing with relationship difficulties, parenting challenges, trauma, mental health issues, and life transitions. The goal is to empower clients by equipping them with effective coping strategies and fostering resilience in their personal and relational lives.

• A minimum of a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Pennsylvania, in compliance with all state regulations.
• Practical experience in conducting therapy sessions, ideally gained through clinical internships or supervised placements during graduate studies.
• Commitment to ongoing professional education and adherence to ethical standards set forth by the licensing board.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building rapport and trust with clients.

• Previous experience working in outpatient therapy settings, particularly with diverse family systems.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care approaches and evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).
• Experience in crisis intervention and familiarity with community resources and referral networks.
