ADJUNCT FACULTY PT - PSYCHOLOGY

Richard J. Daley College is located on the southwest side of Chicago.  As a City College of Chicago, Daley College offers accessible and affordable opportunities for academic advancement, career development, and personal enrichment.  The Advanced Manufacturing College to Careers program is headquartered at Richard J. Daley College.

The Department of Social and Psych Science is currently seeking a Psychology Adjunct to begin Fall Semester 2026. Please note: This position may require fully teaching in-person, as hybrid schedules are not guaranteed.

  • You must demonstrate excellence in teaching, commitment to integrating new technologies in the learning process and the ability to inspire, motivate and empower students to succeed. 
  • Maintain office hours for advising, mentoring and coaching students. 
  • Development and revision of courses and instructional materials as necessary. 
  • Post syllabi and grades on Blackboard. 

Qualifications

  • A PhD in Psychology or other social scientific discipline, with significant course work in Psychology is preferred; with significant research in Psychology.
  • At minimum, you must have a MA in Psychology, or other social scientific discipline, with appropriate course work in Psychology.
    In addition to the minimum requirements, you must be focused on effective teaching; assessment of student learning; and continuous growth in the field of study. We also value expertise in student-centered teaching; facility with instructional technology, including Blackboard Learning Management System; and a commitment to professional development in teaching.
