Job description

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Duke University School of Medicine invites applications for board-certified/board-eligible Child & Adolescent Psychiatrists to support several clinical programs, including inpatient and outpatient Consult Liaison services, general outpatient clinics, autism services, and the development of integrated programs. We are seeking individuals who are interested in working with a growing team of clinicians, researchers, and educators with the goal of enhancing the range and scope of clinical services provided to children and families. The attending Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist will be responsible for direct clinical care, as well as teaching and mentoring medical students, general psychiatry residents, and child and adolescent psychiatry fellows. This position is a faculty appointment with rank commensurate to the applicant's experience. We are seeking both early career applicants and more experienced applicants interested in a senior leadership opportunity.
Primary Activities: This clinical faculty position will include participating in individual- and team-based clinical activities focused on children and families with a range of psychiatric disorders. Clinical responsibilities will include participation in medical and interdisciplinary evaluations and intervention with children presenting with a wide array of needs. The position also will involve supervision of medical students, general psychiatry residents, and child and adolescent psychiatry fellows, as well as the provision of in-service trainings. Scholarly activities are encouraged and supported.
