Job Summary:
Insight is looking for a compassionate and team oriented Registered Nurse to join our Medical Staff in order to provide patient care second to none! Top candidates for this position show a willingness to learn and grow, displaying outstanding attention to detail, while showing a desire to deliver the highest quality of patient care. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the well-being and care of patients. A Nurse's primary responsibilities include delivering care to patients, providing health education to patients, and working with an interdisciplinary team to create a rehabilitation plan for patients. The Nurse should have a minimum of 1 year Psych experience.

Job Duties:
  • Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation to direct or provide nursing care
  • Directs and/or provides professional perioperative nursing care for an assigned group of patients across the age continuum
  • Provides services in accordance with the plan of care
  • Initiates the plan of care and necessary revisions
  • Provides those services requiring substantial specialized nursing skills
  • Prepares clinical and progress notes for each patient visit and summaries of care conferences on his/her patients in a timely manner as per company policy
  • Safeguards the client/patient by observing appropriate infection control procedures including but not limited to universal precautions
  • Informs personnel of changes in the condition and needs of the patient
  • Counsels the patient and family/significant others in meeting nursing and related needs
  • Participates in and presents in-service programs
  • Understands and adheres to established company policies and procedures
  • Processes orders and notifies physicians of patient needs and changes in condition. Completes certification/recertification orders and discharge summaries
  • Determines the amount and type of nursing needed by each individual patient
  • Conducts patient care conferences on patients assigned to his/her care
  • Participates in peer review and performance improvement as assigned
  • Participates in utilization review of medical records as assigned
  • Gives total patient care as needed
  • Takes on-call duty, nights, weekends and holidays, as needed
  • Appropriately utilizes ICD-10 codes
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Demonstrates eligibility to work for any employer in the U.S.
  • Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing and currently licensed in the state(s) in which practicing
  • Must be able to achieve CPR certification within 30 days of employment
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service to show superior patient care
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm and drive
  • Able to work compassionately with patients and coworkers to exhibit patient care second to none
  • Exudes respect and flexibility to impact the workplace in a positive manner
  • Ability to relate and work effectively with others; works well within a team environment
  • Demonstrates excellent skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care, in order to meet documentation standards

Physical Requirements:
  • May be expected to lift up to 50 pounds or up to 150 pounds with assistance. May be expected to push or pull 150-300 pounds with assistance.
  • Work is of medium demand; walking or standing most of the time while on duty
  • Visual and auditory acuity and manual dexterity essential to performing designated duties required. Optimal auditory acuity required
  • Manual dexterity involving the handling of equipment and instruments or needles is essential to performing assigned duties
  • Physical conditions are clean, neat and well lit
  • May be subjected to unpleasant sights and odors, stressful situations and hazardous or infectious agents where judgment as to precautions needed to be taken is essential. Climate control and ambient temperature variances may be experienced and required by patient care and needs of the surgical team
  • Exposure to limited amounts of radiation, hazardous chemicals or substances and infectious disease processes are a possibility
  • Hours of duty may be irregular or unexpectedly extended due to the requirements of the daily surgical and clinic schedule
