Job Summary

This position is a direct report to the IT Manager – WKOPS. The IT Executive Support Architect is responsible for delivering proactive and reactive white‑glove technology support to all executive leaders, ensuring seamless productivity, exceptional service experience, and absolute confidentiality. This role combines deep technical expertise with executive presence, owning end‑to‑end support for devices, collaboration tools, secure access, meetings/events, travel, and high‑visibility engagements. The Architect also shapes standards and service design for VIP support, driving continuous improvement across the digital workplace.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide hands on, concierge level support for executives across endpoints (Windows/macOS laptops, mobile devices), collaboration apps (Microsoft 365, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint), identity/security (SSO, MFA), and conferencing/AV.
  • Deliver proactive care: device health checks, performance optimization, patching readiness, application configuration, and quarterly tech refresh plans.
  • Deliver reactive care: rapid triage and resolution for incidents, escalations, and priority outages impacting executives; act as the single point of contact (SPOC) for executive technology issues.
  • Ensure meeting readiness: pre flight checks, room AV validation, live event support (town halls, board meetings, earnings calls), and post mortems with corrective actions.
  • Provide travel support: pre trip tech readiness, mobile connectivity plans, data access in constrained environments, and on call coverage for critical engagements.
  • Define and maintain VIP support standards, runbooks, and playbooks (incident, problem, change, and major event).
  • Architect endpoint and collaboration configurations optimized for executive workflows, balancing usability, performance, and security.
  • Partner with Workplace Engineering, Security, Network, and AV teams to design resilient solutions and reduce repeat incidents through root cause eradication.
  • Own the service catalog for executive support, with clear SLAs/OLAs and customer experience KPIs.
  • Provide concise status updates to executives and chiefs of staff; translate technical issues into business impact and options.
  • Conduct executive tech briefings, onboarding/offboarding, and quarterly business reviews (QBRs) on service performance and roadmap.
  • Coach and mentor the VIP support pod; enable consistent delivery across time zones and after hours.
Job Specific Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
  • 5+ years in end user computing, collaboration, or endpoint architecture; 5+ years directly supporting senior leaders/VIPs with white glove service. 
  • Expert proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive), Windows 11, macOS, Intune/MEM, Azure AD/Entra ID, MFA/SSO, and conferencing/AV ecosystems (Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Crestron/Logitech/Poly). 
  • Strong troubleshooting across networks (Wi Fi, VPN, QoS), identity/auth, certificates, EDR/Defender, mobile device management (iOS/Android), and hardware. 
  • Demonstrated experience in major event support and rapid incident response with calm, executive level communication. 
  • Discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information; impeccable customer service and executive presence.
  • Compliance with the Department of Energy's regulation 10 CFR 810 is required.
