RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the patient with personal care activities including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding and dressing.
  • Assisting the patient with exercises, ambulation, transfer activities and medications that are ordinarily self-administered.
  • Take and record temperature.
  • Observes and reports patient status.
  • Records care provided.
  • Performs activities under special circumstances after training and observation by a Registered Nurse.

  • Certificate from a state sponsored homemaker/home health aide training and competence evaluation program.
  • Certificate from nurse's aide training and competency evaluation program as defined in Section 19-13-D8T (A) of the Connecticut Public Health Department of Regulations.
  • PSA ExperienceÂ
