Job description

Job Title:  Operations Analyst II
Location:  Arlington, Virginia
 
Rivet Operations Company has an opening for an Operations Analyst II who will provide operational, financial, administrative, acquisition, and technical support to the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Adaptive Capabilities Office (ACO) in support of advanced research and development (R&D) initiatives and mission-critical technology programs. This role supports the successful execution of existing and emerging programs focused on strategic exploration, advanced technology development, and rapid operationalization of innovative capabilities for the Department of Defense.
 
The Operations Analyst II assists with program execution, financial management, acquisition coordination, reporting, stakeholder engagement, and organizational operations in support of dynamic, high-visibility mission requirements. Responsibilities include supporting budget planning and execution, coordinating program activities and documentation, tracking acquisition and operational actions, preparing executive-level briefings and reports, and facilitating communication across Government, industry, and transition partners.
 
Occasional non-standard business hours may be required.
All new hires will complete an onboarding program in their first week.
 
Responsibilities:
• Provide operational, financial, administrative, acquisition, and technical support for Government research and development (R&D) programs and organizational activities.
• Assist with program planning, budget execution, financial tracking, reporting, and funding documentation, including PRs and MIPRs.
• Coordinate meetings, calendars, travel, taskers, briefings, reports, and executive-level communications to support leadership and program teams.
• Track program milestones, deliverables, acquisition actions, and organizational priorities to ensure timely execution and compliance with Government requirements.
• Prepare and maintain program documentation, financial reports, briefing materials, status updates, and records across classified and unclassified environments.
• Support acquisition lifecycle activities by coordinating documentation, routing actions, tracking schedules, and facilitating communication between stakeholders.
• Assist with planning and execution of technical reviews, conferences, demonstrations, workshops, and other organizational events.
• Conduct analysis, develop recommendations, and provide operational support for strategic initiatives, transition activities, and process improvements.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including Government, industry, and transition partners, to support mission objectives and program execution.
• Perform additional surge and mission support activities as required in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related fields.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience supporting operations, program management, financial management, acquisition, or administrative functions.
• Experience supporting Government, Department of Defense (DoD), or defense-related programs.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience preparing reports, briefings, spreadsheets, and executive-level documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments with short turnaround requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience supporting DARPA, DoD research organizations, or advanced technology programs.
• Familiarity with DoD financial management processes and acquisition lifecycle support.
• Knowledge of Defense Travel System (DTS), MIPRs, PRs, and budget execution tracking.
• Experience coordinating executive meetings, technical reviews, or strategic events.

Physical Requirements:
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen.
