Anticipated Work Year & Hours*: 260 Days (12-Month)

Reports to: Custodial and Maintenance Building Lead; Director of Buildings and Grounds
Job Summary:
The Washroom Attendant is responsible for maintaining clean, sanitary, and well-stocked washroom facilities. This role ensures a safe, hygienic, and pleasant environment for staff, students, and visitors while monitoring supplies and reporting maintenance issues as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and sanitize sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors, floors, and other washroom surfaces.
  • Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and other hygiene items.
  • Monitor washroom conditions regularly and report any maintenance or plumbing issues.
  • Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in a safe and organized manner.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Provide courteous assistance to staff, students, and visitors when needed.
  • Keep records of cleaning schedules and supplies inventory.
  • Dispose of waste and maintain proper waste management procedures.
  • Enter school dude for building repairs and closeout when complete
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the administration.*

Skills and Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in custodial or sanitation work is an asset.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to hygiene standards.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently.
  • Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift cleaning supplies regularly.
