Location: Salt Lake City, Utah

Snowbird is situated in the middle of the Wasatch Mountain Range and is not only home to awe-inspiring views and mighty terrain, it is also home to employees equally as remarkable. Snowbird is continually looking for the best, those who share a passion for these mountains and the outdoors. Snowbird is a unique resort with distinct summer and winter seasons and offers full-time, part-time and seasonal positions.

TITLE: Shuttle Driver (Class B CDL plus Passenger Endorsement required)

LOCATION: Snowbird Resort

STATUS: Year-round, Hourly, full-time (30+ hours/week)

SCHEDULE: All shifts, 10-hour shifts

  • Valid Class B CDL with passenger endorsement and clean driving record; current UDOT medical card required.
  • Pre-employment drug test required.
  • Must work Saturday and Sunday
  • Full Benefits including Medical, Vacation, and 401K

SUMMARY

Under the direction of Parking Manager, you are responsible for safely transporting Snowbird guests and personnel to locations on and off Snowbird property.Assist Parking Attendants in their duties, when needed. Shifts are varied but include:

  • 5am - 3pm
  • 6am-5pm
  • 1:30pm-11:30pm
  • 7am-7pm (during Oktoberfest)

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Transport guests and employees in resort buses, vans, and other vehicles.
  • Drive shuttle busses, vans, and other assorted resort vehicles, sometimes in severe winter conditions.
  • Operate a 2-way radio, lights, chains, and other vehicle equipment.
  • Assist Parking Hosts in their duties, when required.
  • Address guest inquiries about resort facilities and activities.
  • Pre & post checks of vehicles.
  • Maintain cleanliness of vehicles.

WHAT YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 2+ years of job-specific work experience with demonstrated competence.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Pre-employment drug test required.
  • Clean motor vehicle record required.
  • Class B CDL required:
    • Passenger endorsement required.
    • UDOT Medical Card required.
  • Must be able to occasionally work and make decisions without direct supervision in meeting the demands of situations presented by business levels and environmental conditions.
  • Must maintain communication with manager and co-workers.

WORK SCHEDULE

  • Must be available to work any day of the week including weekends and holidays.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Must be prepared to stay overnight if necessary on occasional times of road closures.
  • Direct and continuous contact with guests co-workers, management and other departments.
  • Work can be outdoors and requires constant exposure to cold and other extreme weather conditions.
  • Must have the ability to interact at any time with guests and other employees in a pleasant manner and maintain good working relationships with others and all departments at Snowbird.
  • Must be able to sit for long hours.
  • May experience unusual stress from continual work with public, winter conditions, snow night requirements and commuting to/from Snowbird.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Work is subject to frequent interruptions, making continuity and accuracy difficult, frequent exposure to noise.
  • Must demonstrate ability to bend, kneel, handle, reach, grasp and perform repetitive motions.
