We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Tax Manager lead key income tax processes, including provision and compliance, and serve as a primary reviewer to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of all tax reporting obligations. The ideal candidate will ensure the company adheres to all relevant tax regulations while minimizing tax liabilities. This role requires strong analytical skills, in-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

What You'll Do Here:

  • Lead and coordinate the preparation and review of the income tax provision under ASC 740, including book/tax differences, deferred taxes, effective tax rate, uncertain tax positions, and related disclosures
  • Oversee the preparation and review of federal, state, and local income tax returns and supporting workpapers
  • Serve as a key reviewer and escalation point for provision and compliance deliverables, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Lead income tax audits and act as a primary liaison with tax authorities and external advisors
  • Manage responses to federal and state tax notices and inquiries
  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, HR, and business units to support domestic and international tax reporting and compliance
  • Own coordination and review of external provider deliverables (e.g., R&D credits), ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Identify and assess tax risks, including uncertain tax positions, and support related analysis and documentation
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and evaluate potential impacts to the company
  • Develop and maintain internal controls and documentation over tax processes
  • Drive process improvements, standardization, and automation initiatives within the tax function
  • Review work performed by team members and external providers, serving as a key quality control and escalation point

The Skills You'll Bring:

  • 7+ years of relevant tax experience, including corporate income tax compliance and ASC 740
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; Master’s in Taxation preferred
  • CPA preferred
  • Strong knowledge of ASC 740 and U.S. federal and multi-state corporate tax compliance
  • Experience preparing and reviewing tax provision and/or compliance workpapers
  • Ability to independently manage workstreams and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with SAP and tax software preferred

The compensation package for this role is based on multiple factors, such as job level, responsibilities, location, and candidate experience. The base pay ranges included below are specific to the locations listed, and may not be applicable to other locations.

Minnesota: [$138,000-165,000]
