POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Lean Services Associate independently leads Lean implementation on small to mid-size construction projects by facilitating Lean planning, training project teams in Lean practices, and coaching project-level Lean Champions and teams throughout the project lifecycle. This role leads core Lean activities with minimal oversight, supports more complex team dynamics, and co-leads higher-level facilitation such as partnering and alignment sessions. The Senior Associate serves as an experienced Lean resource to project teams and supports consistent application of Lean practices.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties include the following; however, other duties may be assigned.   • Independently leads Lean implementation, planning, coaching, and continuous improvement activities on small to mid-sized construction projects.
  • Coaches teams during live planning to strengthen coordination and reliability.
  • Co-facilitates complex planning sessions with a Lean Manager.
  • Delivers Lean, Last Planner System, and 5S training to project teams.
  • Reinforces Lean concepts through structured learning sessions.
  • Coaches teams on advanced Last Planner System behaviors and planning practices.
  • Identifies coaching needs and supports issue resolution.
  • Facilitates retrospectives and Team Health review sessions.
  • Leads project-level continuous improvement efforts.
  • Co-facilitates components of partnering, Collaborative Design Sessions, and team alignment sessions.
  • Independently facilitates breakout groups and focused alignment discussions.
  • Supports updates to Lean Edge documentation and training content.
  • Identifies improvement opportunities based on project experience.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by their Supervisor.
  • Travels to Company and subsidiary offices; offsite client, subcontractor, and supplier meetings; and other locations across North America to fulfill the essential duties of the role as required.
  • Exhibits regular and reliable attendance in person as required by the Supervisor, Company guidelines, and/or project and office obligations.

      Education and Experience

      Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field and 3-5 years of experience implementing Lean practices on construction projects, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience independently facilitating planning and improvement sessions is required. Must be will be willing to travel to project locations anywhere across North America for extended periods of time (up to 85%).

      • Proficient understanding of Lean philosophy, Last Planner System purpose, and CPM/Last Planner System integration preferred.
      • Proficient familiarity with Touchplan or other Last Planner System management tools preferred.
