This is a hybrid position. Candidates must live local to the DMV area and be willing to commute to our Alexandria office.

On-site days are Mondays and Wednesdays in Alexandria, VA. Additional on-site days may occasionally be required for quarterly Company Collaboration Days and for client and team meetings.

General Overview of Responsibilities:

  • Conducting reliable and accurate media and influencer research (editorial calendars, speaking opportunities, media/analyst list development)
  • Providing teams with industry-relevant news and research
  • Tracking media, managing coverage grids and preparing client reports
  • Securing client media opportunities in trade, consumer, business media and other outlets
  • Producing strong written documents, including pitches, speaking opportunity abstracts, client communications and general business writing
  • Monitoring clients’ social media presence and draft social media posts on behalf of clients (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)
  • Collaborating with vendors and managing work product
  • Producing client status reports and briefing materials for meetings
  • Actively participating in client/internal meetings, offering creative ideas/solutions

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience
  • 1-2 solid internships
  • Fast learner with an inquisitive mind and eye for details
  • Strong writing and excellent communication skills
  • Creativity, self-motivation and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask, manage deadlines and work in a fast-moving environment
  • Problem-solving capabilities and inclination to seek answers to address challenges

Compensation

The anticipated pay range for this exempt position is $45,000-$60,000 annually. This range represents BRG Communications’ good faith estimate of the compensation for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and internal equity.
