Seeking a Technical Network Manager to lead a small IT team responsible for maintaining and optimizing the city's critical IT infrastructure. This is a hands\-on management role requiring both technical expertise and strong leadership skills to support the organization's networking, security, and infrastructure needs. The ideal candidate will balance technical acumen with a business\-oriented mindset to align IT solutions with the city's operational objectives.

  • Provide hands\-on technical leadership and management for the IT team.<\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Oversee networking, security, and infrastructure operations, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.<\/span>

  • Collaborate with city stakeholders and department heads to align IT strategies with business needs.<\/span>

  • Manage and maintain Cisco networking equipment, VPNs, firewalls, and Axiom camera surveillance systems.<\/span>

  • Oversee VMware environments to support the city's IT infrastructure.<\/span>

  • Ensure compliance with security best practices and government IT regulations.<\/span>

    • Architect level knowledge to work with vendors and in\-house stakeholders to design and support multi\-site IT infrastructure solutions.<\/span>

    • Strong networking expertise, including Cisco routers, firewalls, and VPNs. Must have a working knowledge of macro networking concepts for the above as well as SD\-WAN solutions.<\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
    • Experience managing Axiom camera surveillance systems <\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
    • Hands\-on experience with VMware including creation\/installation of VMs running MS Windows, migration through vMotion techniques (both VM and storage), ESX and client OS patching and upgrades, as well as monitoring for performance and security.<\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
    • Ability to troubleshoot and optimize network security and IT infrastructure. <\/span><\/span><\/span>
