Position Overview

The Provider Engagement Representative proactively engages Zelis Payments clients enrolled in virtual payment card products in an effort to convert enrollment to ZAPP EDGE product and promote use of provider portal resulting in improved retention and client satisfaction. Leverages digital tools, including ChatGPT and other AI-enabled technologies, to enhance provider communication, improve workflow efficiency, support documentation, and identify opportunities to strengthen the overall provider experience.

The primary location for the Provider Engagement Representative position is St Petersburg. This is a hybrid position and will require individuals to go into the Zelis St Petersburg office 2 days per week.

What You'll Do:

  • Proactively contact client after specifiedtime periodif product has not been used; resolve any outstanding issues they may have.

  • Contactclientto obtain any missing informationin order tosuccessfully process their claim payments.

  • Assistproviders in processing credit card payments.

  • Reach out to providers who haveopted infor electronic payment via credit card and help them understand how to run payments and answer any questions they may have about the electronic payment process.

  • Promote andassistproviders with enrolling in the ZelisZAPP EDGEsolution.

  • Educate providers on the benefits of the Zelis Provider Portal.

  • UseChatGPT and AItools, whereappropriateandin accordance withcompany policies, to support provider communications, summarize interactions, draft follow-up messaging, streamline research, and improve operational efficiency.

  • LeverageAI-assisted insightstoidentifytrends, recurring provider questions, and opportunities to improve engagement and retention strategies.

  • Maintain awareness of and ensure adherence to ZELIS PAYMENTS standardsregardingprivacy, confidentiality, and responsible use ofAI technologies.

INDEPENDENCE/ ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • Requires minimal daily supervision.

  • Accountable for day-to-day tasks.

  • Must have professionalmannerand respect the confidentiality of provider information.

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to useChatGPT, AI tools, and other technology resourcesresponsibly and effectively to support daily responsibilities.

PROBLEM SOLVING:

  • Excellent organizational skills arerequiredto prioritize responsibilities, thus completing work ina timelyfashion.

  • Attention to detail and concern for impact is essential.

  • Ability to applyAI-supported tools, including ChatGPT, to enhance problem-solving, communication, and process efficiency whilemaintainingaccuracy and compliance.

What You'll Bring to Zelis:

  • HS Diploma & 1-3 yrs

  • Requires proficiency using AI tools skillfully with an understanding of how to develop/create intelligent prompts and/or agents.

  • Demonstrates advanced organizational and documentation skills across multiple concurrent projects.

  • Communicates effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and adept at learning and applying new tools and technologies.

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Works independently with minimal supervision and contributes actively to team success.

  • Excellent telephone and client service skills

  • Has proficiency in tele-sales and marketing techniques yielding increased product usage

Location and Workplace Flexibility

Zelis is headquartered in the U.S., with multiple locations across the country and in Hyderabad, India. Check out our locations to learn more about our offices. All employee work locations are based on the needs of the position and are determined by the Leadership team. In-office work and activities vary based on work and team objectives in accordance with Company policies.


While location expectations vary by role, candidates within approximately 50 miles of a U.S. office are generally preferred to support collaboration when needed. Our hybrid approach is flexible, and in-office presence is guided by team and business needs rather than a fixed weekly schedule.
