Responsibilities
Octave Project Managers lead large-scale software implementations within our North America Public Safety division. The PM is responsible for overseeing all aspects of project implementation, communication, customer relationship success, and maintaining delivery on time, on budget, and within scope. The Octave PM is the gatekeeper to a project's successful contribution to the overall business portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Communication
Serves as the primary liaison to customer PM partners, agency and Octave stakeholders, and project teams
Responsible for hosting regularly scheduled internal and customer-facing status meetings, including ownership of agendas, details, minutes, notes, and follow-ups
Partnering with project teams on task performance/completion, overall project progress, statuses, and documentation
Maintaining customer-facing task tracking/project plan updates, ensuring completion, accuracy, quality, and achievement of contracted SOW tasks
Escalating within PMO and Services leadership as required to maintain project success
Conducting/Representing Project To Executive Leadership as required
Technical Project Aspects
Understanding and aligning provided project SOW's, Levels Of Effort (LOE's), to overall project progress, completion, and delivery success
Collaborating, requesting, and coordinating project resource needs as required with Technical/Pod management
Aligning with project team members to track issues, disposition, and escalations to technical leadership and Product (GTC) as needed
Facilitating the resolution of issues and escalations, internally and externally, to maintain project schedule, budget, and quality expectations
Risk Management And Mitigation
Maintaining consistent updates in the PMO Salesforce portal covering current developments, risk categories, and critical path dates for the projects and portfolio
Presentation of project and portfolio risks, successes, and needs on regular Risk Reviews
Budget And Financials
Analysis of labor reports to individual task expectations and completion
Management of monthly Estimate At Completion (EAC) projections, coordinating with Project Accounting group
Mitigation of the weekly/monthly path of the project against allotted budget, mitigating potential budget overages with PMO leadership as needed

Education / Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, or commensurate documented experience in a role with similar responsibilities
PMI PMP, or equivalent certification, required
Minimum 5 years project management experience implementing large-scale software implementations, or equivalent scope
Strong understanding of Public Safety culture, success, and collaboration preferred
Strong written and oral communication, presentation, and critical-thinking skills
Intermediate-to-Senior level knowledge of Microsoft Office suite - including Microsoft Project
A self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented mindset
An open-minded, embracer of diversity of thought and contributing to PMO team culture
