Job Summary:

AdviniaCare Providence, a leading provider of senior lifestyle and care services, is seeking a skilled Day Shift Cook Supervisor to join our team in Providence, Rhode Island. As a Cook at AdviniaCare, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of food service and experience for our residents. Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and cook food items to ensure the highest quality service and experience for residents

  • Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and running efficiently

  • Ensure proper food handling and sanitation

  • Follow food storage procedures

  • Maintain a safe and efficient work environment

  • Oversee dietary aides on day shift.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a kitchen, preferably in a Nursing Home setting

  • Expereince for cooking large quantities of food to feed 160 residents per meal service.

  • Certificate or associate degree from a community college in culinary arts, cooking preferred

  • Food handling certificate from your state and knowledge of geriatric diets

  • Experience in using cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware

  • Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling, etc.)

  • Ability to follow all sanitation procedures

  • Capacity to work in a team
